Prevention

Be always extremely careful, carrying out works in a motive compartment.

Before work in a motive compartment, kill the engine, put the car on the emergency brake and get keys from the ignition lock.

Always give time to the engine to cool down. You can burn if you concern hot elements of the engine.

Try not to spill engine oil, cooling liquid of the automatic transmission, brake fluid, antifreeze and the clearing liquids on hot elements of the engine, especially on pipes of the exhaust system as these liquids are highly inflammable.

Never concern radiator fan blades. They can unexpectedly begin to rotate when the thermorelay turns on the fan. The fan of a radiator turns on automatically when temperature of cooling liquid reaches a certain level and continues to work (even at the switched-off ignition) so far temperature of cooling liquid not to go down. The fan can work up to 10 minutes and more.

Always disconnect a wire of the negative plug of the accumulator before work with fuel system or system of electric equipment. Never you smoke and do not use heating devices or naked flame during the work with gasoline. You carry out works in the presence of the serviceable fire extinguisher.

Be especially careful at the working engine.

If you need to carry out works at the working engine, always check that the car was put on the emergency brake and the lever of gear shifting it is transferred to neutral situation (for the mechanical transmission) or parking transfer was included (for the automatic transmission).

Be always careful and watch that jewelry, chains, long hair or clothes did not get to fan blades, maple belts or other moving parts.

For prevention of receiving electric blow and injuries never concern wires or other elements of system of ignition which are under high voltage during the operation of the engine and at its start.
