1.4.18. Brushes of screen wipers

Brushes of screen wipers have to be in good shape to provide good visibility.

Regularly clear brushes by means of washing windshield solution for prevention of emergence of strips on glass during the work of screen wipers. If brushes became very dirty, for example from the died insects, accurately clear brushes by means of a bast or a soft vorsyany brush.

Replace brushes of screen wipers one or two times a year.

Prevention

Hot wax which is applied on a windshield at an automatic wash of machines can affect extent of cleaning of a windshield with screen wipers.

For prevention of damage of brushes, do not use gasoline, kerosene or other solvents for cleaning of brushes or a surface near them.

For prevention of damage of levers of screen wipers or other elements, do not try to move screen wipers hands.

Removal of brushes of screen wipers

Lift the lever of a screen wiper and hold a brush in horizontal position.

 Press a lock spring (A) and remove a brush, having pulled it towards a windshield (In).

Installation of brushes

The lock spring has to jump on the place on the screen wiper lever.
