Prevention

Flammablly! You do not smoke and do not bring to the field of repair anything from what can ignite fuel.

Replace laying and ring consolidations.

Record connections of hoses screw or spring clips.

The correct work of components of electric system requires voltage at least 11.5 volts.

Be attentive during the work with the engine. High voltage can injure you and damage electric components.


Switch off ignition:

 – at connection or a detachment of testers to system of ignition;
 – at connection or a detachment of wires of ignition;
 – at a wash of the engine.

Do not forget about the accumulator:

 – do not disconnect the accumulator at the working engine;
 – at emergency start use the subcharger no more than 15 seconds and voltage no more than 16.5 volts;
 – disconnect the accumulator and the CIS-Motronic control unit when using the equipment of arc, spot or electric welding.

When testing system:

 – do not give tension on the control unit for modeling of output signals;
 – at a detachment of a wire of the coil (plug 4) from the distributor always ground by means of a wire piece;
 – at the disconnected and not grounded wire of high voltage do not turn the engine.

When using heat:

 – if components were heated above 80 °C by the dryer for paint or a paroochistitel, wait so far they will cool down before start of the engine.

At towage:

 – in cars with faulty ignition (or with possible malfunctions of ignition) it is necessary to disconnect the output cascade of the coil of ignition.

Rules of respect for purity

First of all clear points of connections before separation.

 At open fuel system:

 – do not use compressed air needlessly;
 – move the car only at urgent need;
 – if you did not finish repair, accurately cover details with a film or paper, but not rags.

Use only pure details:

 – do not develop new components ahead of time;
 – use only the packed new details;
 – put the removed details on a pure surface, cover with plastic foil or paper, but not rags.
